Whales spotted on Maui!
Whales have been spotted in the Hawaiian Islands! The first sightings have been reported on September 28, 2008, when the Na Wahine O Ke Kai women's outrigger canoe race took place between Molokai & Oahu. Two womens' teams spotted whales during their race, the first report of the season!

I had the pleasure of paddling that race (and it was awesome) and I loved hearing the boat captains talk about the whales that were spotted.
